Pullets at Three Weeks

It's warming up outside, and the pullets have moved to the chicken tractor (a mobile coop that allows them access to fresh pasture). The chicken house is going up, and everything is going well to start offering eggs in late summer or early fall.

As soon as the soil dries out, it will be time to prepare the garden. We have an extra half-flat of eggplants (crescent moon and purple rain varieties) in 3" pots that will be ready for planting in mid-May. They're little right now (4 1/2" tall) but you can get a deal early ($1/pot) if you have a bright place inside to care for them a few more weeks.
